ABS-CBN now joins GMA Network and TV5 in Solar Entertainment’s agreement to air the 65th Miss Universe 2016 live all over the country.
ABS-CBN have officially signed on to co-air the pageant with Solar Entertainment, the official broadcast partner of Miss Universe 2016 in the Philippines this afternoon (December 22). It was earlier reported that the Miss Universe 2016 live finals coronation show will be aired on all networks in the Philippines.
“I’m very happy because it’s been weeks of hard work to get everybody together, and now finally we have ABS-CBN on board,” said Wilson Tieng, president and chief executive officer of Solar Entertainment.
“Come January 30, 2017, all major TV networks will be doing a live broadcast of Miss Universe 2016,” he added.
Steve Harvey will still be the main pageant host despite reservations previously aired by President Rodrigo Duterte because of the blunder he made at last year’s event.
