Though he’s obviously disappointed with the result, Vice Ganda announced that his movie with Coco Martin titled “Super Parental Guidance” failed to make on the ‘Magic 8’ of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
On “It’s Showtime” yesterday, the Kapamilya host said, “Wala kaming film festival.”
He added, “See you next year sa sinehan. Good luck sa mga movies na pumasok.”
Directed by Joyce Bernal, “Super Parental Guidance” co-stars, child actors Xymon Ezekiel “Onyok” Pineda and McNeal “Aura” Briguela. This was Vice’s first lead movie without the box office director Wenn Deramas.
On his Twitter account hours after the announcement was made, Vice Ganda expressed his gratitude to his fans for their support: “Salamat sa mga tweets niyo. Nata-touch ako. Salamat po! At mahal na mahal ko kayo.”
Aside from “Super Parental Guidance,” other mainstream movies who failed to make the cut are “Mang Kepweng Returns,” “Mano Po 7: Tsinoy” and “Enteng Kabisote and the Abangers.”
