Though the movie failed to make it on the ‘Magic 8’ list of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2016), Star Cinema still decided to release the much awaited trailer of Coco Martin and Vice Ganda’s reunion project on the big screen titled “The Super Parental Guardians.”
The trailer shows Coco and Vice as Arci and Paco, clashing personalities who both want to take care of the children of Paco’s late sister Sarah (Matet de Leon). Upon the recommendation of one his friends, Paco seeks help from Arci as he moves in to raise the children, played by Onyok Pineda and Awra Briguela.
Though came as a surprise, the movie’s official hashtag #TheSuperParentalGuardians made it on the top Trending Topics on Twitter, even beating TV programs airing during the launch.
Before the trailer launch of Star Cinema’s official Facebook and Youtube account, the comedian hinted of wanting to continue his tradition of giving a Christmas present to movie goers yearly.
Vice tweeted before the surprise unveiling of the trailer, “Hindi pwedeng hindi ko kayo pasasayahin sa Kapaskuhan.Taon taon may regalo akong pampasaya sa mga bata at sa pamilyang Pilipino. Panata yan!”
