Obviously, our President Rodrigo Duterte is busiest person in our nation today.
Just like last Friday (November 11), after arriving before dawn from a two-day visit to Thailand and Malaysia, President Rodrigo Duterte was able attend two other events for the rest of the day, though he skipped the highly publicized one-on-one interview with Kris Aquino for the Go Negosyo Summit at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City.
According to his speech during the launch of Pilipinong May Puso Foundation at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in the same city, the President mentioned a trip to the mountains as the reason for his tardiness.
“I had to go to a place where we had a hard time negotiating [the way down]. It was raining very hard in the mountains and you could just not make it on time. If you want to make it faster, I might not have made it tonight,” he said.
Malacanang’s communications chief Martin Andanar also said Mr. Duterte’s hectic schedule had apparently affected him.
“The long hours and endless trips must be taking their toll on the President. Like any human being, the President needs to take a rest,” Andanar said Saturday when asked about the Chief Executive’s health.
But a few hours after the event he was supposed to attend with Aquino, Mr. Duterte was back on his feet.
The launch of Pilipinong May Puso Foundation was held in recognition of the humanitarian efforts of his mother, the late Soledad Duterte.
Early Saturday, Mr. Duterte also visited the wake of Judge Dory Avisado and engineer Apolinar Gaite. He is also scheduled to fly this month to Peru for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.
