Supporters of the Marcos family sought those who oppose the hero’s burial for the late President Ferdinand Marcos to forgive and move on from the past. They pressed that Former President Ferdinand Marcos deserves a slot at the Libingan ng mga Bayani because ‘no one can deny’ he is a President and a soldier.
Move on? Marcos loyalists are asking people to move over decades-old feelings of anger, grief and pain.
On Facebook, Musician and Jounalist Lourd de Veyra can’t help but react on Marcos loyalists’ favorite line. He posted, “Ayos din ‘no? Yung mga sumisigaw ng “patayin adik,” “obosen,” “ma-rape ka sana” ang sumisigaw ngayon ng “understanding,” “forgiveness” and “move on.” Tangina niyo.”
De Veyra’s status has already gone viral with more than 29k likes and 11,087 shares on his verified Facebook account.
On De Veyra’s status, actress Agot Isidro replied, “Di nga sila maka-move on sa sinabi ko eh. 🙄”
Last month, Isidro trended on Twitter for her strongly worded remarks against President Rodrigo Duterte, whom she called a “psychopath.” She criticized Duterte for his continued expletive-laced remarks against the United States and international bodies for belittling as “crumbs” the foreign aid that the country had been receiving.
