Kapamilya audience is different and hard to please…
That’s one of Jona’s realizations upon stepping to ABS-CBN since eight months ago. And now, she’s now officially a Kapamilya after signing a contract with Star Music and Star Magic.
Being a Kapuso for ten years, it won’t be hard for Jona to start all over again for I believe, she’s equipped with the best experience. But Jona still experienced some shortcomings just like on her very first guesting on ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime.”
She shared, “Honestly nga po nung first time kong sumabak sa ‘It’s Showtime’ sobrang kabado po ako na parang pakiramdam ko isa akong nagsisimulang singer that time talaga. To the point na ‘yung kaba ko po, kinain ‘yung buong performance ko na parang nasabi nga po ng manager ko na, ‘Anong nangyari sa ‘yo? Bakit ganun?'”
She added, “Talagang iba ang pakiramdam talaga na magperform ka in front of Kapamilya audience. And mapanood ka all over the Philippines and worldwide kaya ganun ang pressure na umano sa akin that time.”

The newest Kapamilya even experienced overhaul in terms of looks, on how she performs and how she deliver the notes. What’s good about these, she welcomed all these opinions about her, “As long as sa ikakabuti ko naman, okay lang na pagsabihan ako.”
