In times of accidents and disasters, one would wish superheroes to be real – caped crusaders with extraordinary powers.
However, as the saying goes, not all heroes wear capes, and Julius Babao meets one this Monday (November 28) on “Mission Possible.” Gilbert Galang, a former OFW, is the newest awardee of the show’s “Paskong Parangal” program.
Working as an entertainer in Dubai, he once pulled fellow Filipino Reyson Angeles from a burning car, disregarding his own safety. Currently, Gilbert’s parents are now abroad in Italy and he’s left to take care of his siblings. Putting family over self, he gave up the chance to earn a bigger salary to be with his siblings and do volunteer work in the local municipal hall in Zaragosa, Nueva Ecija.
