Aside from being recognized as the Best Asia Pacific Star at the 2016 Asia Pacific Actors Network (APAN) Star Awards in South Korea, Jessy Mendiola also got to meet the “Descendants of the Sun” lead actor and Korean superstar Song Joong Ki.
Jessy and Song Joong Ki were both recipients of Best APAN Star Award along with other Asian stars Kim Hee Sun, Thanayong Wongtrakul, Joe Taslim, and Narimiya Hiroki.
The APAN Star Awards recognizes excellent Korean dramas that aired from October (of the previous year) to September of the current year.

Just last month, Kapuso star Dennis Trillo also scored a selfie with Song Joong Ki when he was honored at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2016 held in Seoul, South Korea.
