Last year, the name Ines Ligron became prominent to the pageant enthusiasts when she was rumored to train our very own representative Pia Wurtzbach to the Miss Universe pageant that year.
Good thing it never happened and Pia became our Miss Universe for over two decades of drought.
And now, she’s gaining attention again especially to the Pinoy pageant enthusiasts for spreading unverified report on her verified Facebook Page. She said, “Breaking News: Miss Universe has pulled out and will not be held in the Philippines. Thought you would like to know…”
Fortunately, Department of Tourism undersecretary Kat de Castro was quick to reply on the issue. On her Facebook account, she said, “Hi guys. Once again, we are in contact with MUO and there have been no cancellation talks. Thank you.”
Obviously, this Ines wants to attract more likers to her page. She even used Pia’s shocking reaction during the Miss Universe 2015 coronation so she could easily gain attention. That’s so pathetic!
Ines was known in the world pf pageantry as a serial gossip provider. Last year, she posted an unbelievable confrontation about Pia and Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez during the pageant. In 2014, she wrote that Miss Singapore Rathi Menon was sad as Miss India Noyonita Lodh refused to take selfies with her. Almost the same thing happened in 2013 when she rudely passed on some comments on Miss Mauritius 2013 on a message, posted by Miss Mauritius 2012; thinking that Miss Mauritius 2013 did that. Although, she did apologize later to Miss Mauritius 2013, the damage was already made where she commented on personal ability of Miss Mauritius by openly saying that she was not a Miss Universe material.
The legendary Ines was hired by Donald Trump himself to revolutionize Japanese pageantry since 1998 but even her current proteges from Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia are having a hard time beating the Philippine record at the Miss Universe.
