“It’s Showtime” is pitting its “best of the best” against each other as it again brings out its past champions in celebration of the noontime program’s seventh anniversary.
The “Clash of Champions” kicked off Monday (Oct 10), with “Bida Kids” grand champion Super Crew winning against 2012 “Campus Clash” champion CCP Bobcats.
This Tuesday, “Bida Kabarkada” champion Rizal Underground has beaten “Todo BiGay” champion Alab Poi. Meanwhile, 2011 “Showtime All-Star Barangayan” champion True Colors and “Jambunganga” champion HMN will once again prove their talent in hopes of beating each other on Wednesday.
“PINASikat” champion na Spyros, on the other hand, will go head-to-head with “Halo-Halloween” champion Names Going Wild on Thursday. Lastly, don’t miss the clash of “Showtime” Season 4 grand champion Astig Pinoy and the “Inter-Town” competition champion Bacolod Masskara this Friday.
The winning group will take home P25,000, based on points given by the judges (60 points) and the studio audience (40 points). The daily winners will again engage in a breathtaking showdown this Saturday (Oct 15) for a chance to win P100,000.
Meanwhile, Eumee Capili of Bulacan and Noven Belleza of Negros Occidental were named the latest finalists of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” in the conclusion of the week-long Quarter 3 semi-finals last Saturday (Oct 8). They will join Gidget Dela Llana, Maricel Callo, Marielle Montellano, and Pauline Agupitan in the competition’s highly anticipated grand finals.
Viewers nationwide tuned in to the grand vocal showdown last Saturday as proven by data from Kantar Media. It showed that “It’s Showtime” recorded a national TV rating of 23.7%, a solid ten-point lead over GMA’s “Eat Bulaga!” that only got 13.2%.
