After beating 3 Kapuso shows, “Dolce Amore” will bid goodbye on August 26 on Primetime Bida. The Liza Soberano-Enrique Gil starrer will give way to James Reid and Nadine Lustre’s second teleserye titled “’Till I Met You.”
“Dolce Amore” was able to beat at least three Kapuso rival shows namely “That’s My Amboy,” “Once Again” and “Descendants of the Sun” by big margins giving GMA Network a big headache every night.
To air pilot on August 29, JaDine’s “’Till I Met You,” to be directed by Antoinette Jadaone, is a follow-up to the reel and real life couple’s successful romantic-comedy series “On The Wings Of Love,” also megged by Jadaone.
Based on its initial trailer screened on ABS-CBN’s trade show on June 28, “’Till I Met You” hints at a possible LGBT love triangle, where a boy named Alejandro (JC Santos) is in love with James’ character, Basti. The plot alone is intriguing since this is not seen on a typical Kapamilya teleserye.
Can “’Till I Met You” replicate the success of “Dolce Amore” especially on the ratings game on primetime? We bet… yes!
