Ogie Alcasid is now promoting his upcoming birthday concert ‘Ayokong Tumanda’ at the Music Museum on August 26 and 27.
On his presscon last week, Ogie Alcasid lauded how the longest-running Kapamilya variety show comes up with their impressive production numbers after his recent stint. “Sobra kasi iba talaga sila gumawa production number. I have to give it to ABS-CBN,” he said.
The former host of “ASAP” competitors (SOP, Party Pilipinas, Sunday All Stars) even shared that during his last trip to New York to promote TV-5, he noted how tickets for ASAP were already sold out with still 2 weeks left before the event.
He shared, “Talagang when I was in kasi [the U.S.] galing akong New York tapos pinromote namin yung TV5 and I knew that ASAP was going to have a concert there. Parang two weeks [before the show. Sold out na tapos excited na lahat ang mga tao. Yung mayayanig ka sa, ‘Wow. Grabe.’
“Ang galing lang. Ang galing ng foresight ang galing ng tanggap ng audience nila. Nabibilib ako.”
Ogie Alcasid guested on “ASAP” last month where he performed alongside with other OPM Icons for the ‘ASAPinoy’ tribute to Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. He’s also part of “MMK’s” 25 years commemorative album.
