A netizen named Karla Monique Olandesca was apparently not given a chance to take a seat by this guy on the MRT so she took a photo of the guy and posted it on Facebook on August 10 (Wednesday).
Karla captioned the guys’ photo with a lengthy explanation:
ShoutOut Nga Pala Dun Sa Lalaki Knina Sa MRT. ( Pauwi Ako Sa Condo. Sumakay Ako MRT mula North Ave. To Araneta Cubao )
Nasa Harap Mo Ko. Ano Manlang Sna Yung Kusa Kang Nagpa-Upo. Pa-Tingin Tingin Kapa. Kala Mo Hindi Ko Nahahalata. Yung Pagiging Un-Gentleman Mo.. Sana Hindi yan Gawin Sa Nanay Mo. Sigurado Naman Matanda Nadin Nanay Mo. At Kung May Kapatid Kang Babae. (Kung Meron Man )
Kung Ano Yung Kina-Pangit Ng Mukha Mo.. Yung Din Kina-Pangit Ng Ugali Mo. Bagay Na Bagay yung Mukha Mo Sa Ugali. Perfect Combination Pare! Haha!
The post immediately became viral with 17k likes and reactions and 3,588 shares as of this writing.
The scenario is obviously not new on Social media. The same scenario happened just last month when a woman named Rhodora Trinidad posted a photo of a guy at the MRT for not giving up the reserved seat to her PWD husband.

People should know their limits on posting to social media, this one is an example of cyber bullying.
Although some netizens argued that it was within the woman’s right to complain about the situation, majority of them agreed that her means of telling her sentiments was wrong.
Here are some of the comments the netizens have shared regarding the issue:
- If you paid your train fare, you have an equal right to a seat. And it’s your choice whether or not to give it up to someone who might need it more. No one should be obligated to do so.
- What Karla did amounts to cyberbullying, especially since she posted a photo of his face to shame him. She even mock the guy’s photo and called him “Kung Ano Yung Kina-Pangit Ng Mukha Mo.. Yung Din Kina-Pangit Ng Ugali Mo. Bagay Na Bagay yung Mukha Mo Sa Ugali. Perfect Combination Pare! Haha!”
- Anyone else in the MRT at that time who failed to give up their seats for the lady, would be in the wrong too, not simply this guy — two wrongs don’t make a right.
