After confirming Alden Richards to play Matteo Do in April, the director of the Pinoy version of “My Love From the Star,” Joyce Bernal revealed that Jennylyn Mercado will play the lead female role in the Filipino adaptation of the hit Korean drama series “My Love from the Star.”
“Si Jennylyn po, siya yung Steffi,” Bernal said during the brief interview told PEP.ph yesterday.
The question now is, will Alden Richards still play as Matteo Do in the Pinoy adaptation of this hit Koreanovela? Since during his thanksgiving party with the press, Alden informed the press that his series with his loveteam, Maine Mendoza, is already in the works.
When asked about this, Direk Joyce explained, “Sa October pa kasi kami pwede mag-convene [with GMA-7]. Pero as of now, hindi ko pa alam kung wala na siya [Alden] talaga.”
“My Love from the Star,” which aired on GMA Network, is a Korean drama about a good-looking alien who landed on earth and fell in love with an actress.
