From being part of Kapuso Tweens six years ago, we can now place Derrick Monasterio to the list of mature Kapuso leading men. Seriously, with all his efforts on maintaining his hunk body, he’s far more good-looking and manly than before.
With Derrick Monasterio being part of Regal Films, we can now expect a better direction of his career, other than being on TV.
During his contract signing with Regal Films, the 21-year-old actor said that he believes he’s already ripe for mature roles. He said, “Okay lang po yun. Nasa tamang age na rin po ako, e. Ready na ako. Siguro yung hindi lang kita lahat, hindi naman completely bold. Actually, wala naman akong limitations, basta okay yung project.”
When asked if given a chance to choose a female lead, Derrick quickly answered, “Jessy Mendiola po talaga, e.”
When told Jessy already has Luis Manzano, he immediately changed his answer to, ” Arci Munoz na lang!”
When asked why Jessy, Derrick explained, “Sexy niya kasi, ang lakas ng sex appeal niya. Maganda nga yun, e. Ayoko ng medyo mapayat.”
