4. Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s seventh movie together.
Right after their loveteam became a hit on the TV screens, Star Cinema included Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in an all-star mvoie “24/7 in Love” in 2012 starring alongside with some of Kapamilya’s hottest artists Piolo Pascual, Diether Ocampo, Angelica Panganiban, John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Maja Salvador, Zanjoe Marudo, Sam Milby, Pokwang, Zaijian Jaranilla, Xyriel Manabat and many more. In that same year, Kathryn and Daniel joined box office royalties Ai-Ai delas Alas, Kris Aquino and Vice Ganda in Star Cinema’s MMFF entry “Sisterakas.”
Finally in 2014, Star Cinema finally gave KathNiel their own launching movie together titled “Must Be Love.” The movie has grossed more than ₱60M in two weeks. Their launching movie was immediately followed by the MMFF entry “Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay” which grossed more than ₱240M in during the duration of the festival. Their next movies were undoubtedly a hit as “She’s Dating the Gangster” and “Crazy Beautiful You” have earned ₱296M and ₱322M respectively.
Their seventh movie, “Barcelona: A Love Untold” is expected to even raise and break their own record in the box office.
5. A more mature movie for KathNiel.
Just like what they’re telling during the interviews, the KathNiel love team is already veering away from their usual teeny-bopper roles and showing their more mature side – physically and emotionally. Based on the trailer alone, from the story, lines, and how they act, you can see a very big difference from their previous projects.
