Change has also come to AGB Nielsen TV ratings survey as they introduced Urban Luzon TV measurement in lieu of their Mega Manila TV Ratings.
Started in July 1, AGB Nielsen has abandoned their Mega Manila TV measurement and changed it to Urban Luzon. And for their first initial survey covering July 1-3, ABS-CBN inches closer to its Kapuso rivals.
“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” finally took back weekday primetime leadership from Kapuso newscast “24 Oras”. “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” emerged on top of the ratings board on July 1 with the ratings of 25.3%. For weekday daytime programming, “Eat Bulaga!” continues to rule the ratings board but ABS-CBN was successful to even out the number of slots. GMA Network and ABS-CBN manages to enter 5 programs each in the daytime top 10 with GMA Network taking the 1st five spots and ABS-CBN in the next 5 slots.
Over at the weekend ratings, “Magpakailanman” retains its Saturday primetime leadership but ABS-CBN’s “The Voice Kids 3” and “Maalaala Mo Kaya” is following not far behind. “Magpakailanman” registered 21.8% just 0.2% higher than second placer “The Voice Kids 3” with 21.6% and 0.3% higher that rival “MMK” on 3rd place with 21.5%.
On Sunday primetime, “The Voice Kids 3” finally snatched the lead from Kapuso shows at it registered a ratings of 24%, 2.4% higher than the second placer “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho” with 21.6%.
With the change in AGB Nielsen’s audience measurement to Urban Luzon, we can see more and more ABS-CBN shows are starting to get on top of the ratings board.
