The director of “Honor Thy Father,” was proud to share to his followers that their movie won the Best Asian Film award at the 2016 Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF), which was held in Switzerland.
On Instagram, Erik Matti posted a photo of bruised John Lloyd Cruz from their movie and captioned it with, “#HonorThyFather wins at #NIFFF16 for #bestAsianfilm

Created in 2000, the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) has become a major film event in Switzerland in just 15 editions. Indeed, the NIFFF’s quality and original programs, as well as its prestigious guests convinced both the public (more than 37,000 spectators in 2015) and the critics.
The first Pinoy film to have won the festival was in 2012 – it was Jade Castro’s “Remington and the Curse of the Zombadings.”
