Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago is confined to the intensive care unit of the Makati Medical Center after being rushed to the hospital Monday (May 30) for complications arising from her lung cancer, her office confirmed Wednesday.
The announcement was made by the senator’s husband Narciso “Jun” Santiago saying she was moved to the ICU from her private room Tuesday night. He also said that visitors are not allowed and so gifts will not be accepted.
