CNN journalist Anderson Cooper has denied the viral social media meme with his quotes calling Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez a “corrupt couple.” It was posted by a certain Rodrigo Duterte supporter named Tess Delejero on Facebook.
Anderson Cooper immediately answered the two tweets from Pinoy netizens asking for clarifications for the meme “When I heard that this corrupt couple (Mar at Korina) are running for office…May God help the Philippines.”
“I did not say this,” Anderson Cooper denying the meme quote.
“I never said this,” replied to another netizen.
We could recall that Anderson Cooper had an issue with Korina Sanchez during his coverage of Yolanda tragedy in Tacloban year 2013. Cooper’s CNN report irked ABS-CBN news anchor Korina Sanchez and shot back at the CNN anchor in her radio program over DZMM, and said, “Itong si Anderson Cooper, sabi wala daw gov’t presence sa Tacloban. Mukhang hindi niya alam ang sinasabi niya.”
