After the three-day canvass, Congresswoman Leni Robredo have officially won the May 9 vice-presidential elections, respectively, based on the final tally of votes by Congress sitting as the National Board of Canvassers. Robredo on Friday trumped her closest rival, Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., the son and namesake of the late dictator. According to the official count of Congress sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, Robredo led the race with 14,418,817 votes, or just 263,473 ahead of Marcos who got 14,155,344.
