Do you still remember the chef that promised to give away 5M worth of cakes if Rodrigo Duterte wins presidency?
“Pag nanalo si duterte manok ninyo guys, gagawa ako ng maraming cakes sa Pilipinas worth 5Milyon para ipakain for free siguraduhin nyo lang mananalo sya. Mark my word..,” that’s the status went viral by Eliaquim Labang in November 2015.
Chef Jack Labang is obviously not a believer of Rodrigo Duterte.
And since the Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is leading the partial and unofficial results for the local and overseas voting, netizens can’t help but ask Chef Jack Labang of Quim’s Cake regarding his promise of giving away free cakes worth P5 million in case Duterte will be elected as the next president.
Chef Jack Labang’s promise was to give Php 5 million worth of cakes if Rodrigo Duterte wins. No second thoughts, no hesitation. He even said “mark my words” on his statement.
Upon knowing that Duterte is winning the race, Chef Jack changed his statement. He has now another condition. “The people have spoken. Congrats to our new leader! As promised we will be happy to share our cakes for as long as he will also deliver his promise to solve criminality in 3-6 months..”
Why do you have another condition? Well, it looks like he can’t produce that big promise so please spare the guy. We’ll for sure soon forget this guy and his promise. Maybe this is just for fun. Duterte already won the presidential race. In fact, Duterte’s runningmates Sen. Grace Poe, VP Jejomar Binay and Sec. Mar Roxas have already conceded in the presidential race. The tough guy image portrayed by Duterte as well as his previous controversial remarks on several issues did not deter Filipino voters from choosing him as the Philippines’ next leader.
UPDATE: This guy’s so seriously wants to give away the cakes!
