An OFW in Hongkong named Cristina Gonzales claimed that she voted for Bongbong Marcos for Vice President at Precint 501 but her receipt allegedly printed the name of Gregorio Honasan instead. This issue is very much similar to the case also in Hongkong whereas her vote was allegedly diverted from Rodrigo Duterte to Mar Roxas.
These incidents are really alarming. Each vote is very important at it’s such a shame that it will be wasted.
The overseas absentee voting began last April 9, 2016. It was estimated that over 1.3 million Filipinos abroad registered to vote. The voting is limited though only for the following positions – President, Vice-President, Senators, and Party-List group.
