COSTA MESA, CA, May 25, 2016 – A first in the United States, Southern California’s South Coast Plaza will feature ASEAN FEST 2016: Celebration of Southeast Asian Nations Arts & Culture on Saturday, June 4, 2016.
ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel, in the spirit of honoring and strengthening the very diverse community it belongs to, is one of the big Asian channels and networks in the United States that are media partners of the event.
The festival is open to the public from 1:00pm to 6:00pm in Carousel Court, Level 1, and will celebrate the diversity of arts and cultures among South East Asian countries. Highlights include diverse cultural performances, and a variety of artisan presentations showcasing arts & crafts, and historical background.
An entertaining and educational event, ASEAN Fest 2016 will expose the variety of exhibitions from the Consulate representative of ASEAN countries, ASEAN business, companies and communities. In addition, there are a variety of cultural performances, including a fashion show that will entertain guests to experience the ASEAN lifestyles. The festival will be represented by Consul Generals from the ten member nations of ASEAN that include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Performances will take place on stage in Carousel Court, Level 1 at 1:00pm and 4:00pm. Lucky drawings are to be held at 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 5:00pm for a variety of prizes. A special grand prize drawing of a roundtrip airline ticket to any Southeast Asian destination by China Airlines will take place at 6:00pm.
ASEAN Fest 2016 is founded and organized by Inspire NUSA, Inc. (INUSA) and ACHA Productions, co-organized by 8sian Media and sponsored by South Coast Plaza aspires to unify the spirit of ASEAN Community in the United States and support the growing ASEAN economy market.
