Four years after the releases of ‘The Songwriter & The Hitmakers,’ Ogie Alcasid is back on the recording scene with another album titled ‘Ikaw Ang Buhay Ko’ under Universal Records. During its album blog-con, the award-winning singer/songwriter revealed that his new album is his “declaration” that his “wife is indeed” his “life.”

Made for the couple’s fifth anniversary and also originally meant to be a wedding album, includes happy love songs, perfect for wedded couples and husbands/wives-to-be. “The original idea was to come up with a wedding album, something that you know, people who are getting married or those who have been married and want to celebrate their anniversaries, they can listen to an album and celebrate love.”

The ‘Ikaw Ang Buhay Ko’ album includes five originals and five covers – the covers include classic Filipino wedding songs like ‘Iingatan Ka’ and ‘Tanging Yaman’ by Carol Banawa, ‘Hawak Kamay’ by Yeng Constantino, ‘Pag-ibig’ by Apo Hiking Society, and ‘Hanggang’ by Wency Cornejo; and the five original compositions are ‘Ikaw Ang Buhay ko,’ ‘Habang Buhay (Saranghaeyo),’ ‘I Love You,’ ‘Ikaw Ang Aking Pangarap,’ and ‘The Lord Is Our Savior.’

The ‘Ikaw Ang Buhay Ko’ album is available in all record stores nationwide for only Php 300 also on digital downloads via iTunes, Amazon and Spinnr and streaming on Deezer.

Aside from the album, Ogie will also be having a birthday concert at the Music Museum on August 26 and 27 with Ryan Cayabyab as his musical director.
