First it was Ian de Leon. Now, it’s Luis Manzano’s turn to be a good samaritan.
Fashion Pulis featured a series of Instagram posts, which showed that Luis helped a pastor named Jonas Bernales. According to Bernales, he suffered a “major accident” while riding his bike and became unconscious . Luis must have been passing by when the accident happened and brought him to the hospital.
Pastor Bernales said that he could not remember anything and woke up in the hospital. He said,
“Thank you to none other than @luckymanzano who came to my rescue and became the good samaritan. May God bless you a hundred-fold. #howcanirepay let’s meet up.”
He also posted a similar message on Twitter.

Luis replied to the pastor by saying that a certain Doctor Martin Josef was the “perfect blessing” on the night of the accident. He also wished that Pastor Bernales will have a quick recovery.
As to how Pastor Bernales could repay him, Lucky simply asked for a simple prayer. He said, “Just say a simple prayer for me Sir, then we are even!”
The daughter of Pastor Bernales also thanked the “Pilipinas Got Talent” host on Twitter. Luis replied by saying that he hopes that the pastor is already feeling better.
Netizens expressed their admiration to Luis and a lot of them said that, Luis is really a good man. He had done a lot of charitable works and helped a lot of people before, but just choose to be quiet about it.
It is heartwarming to know when celebrities help total strangers and downplay their roles, like what Ian and Luis did. If becoming a good samaritan is becoming a trend, we hope it stays forever.
