GMA Network’s 2011 hit drama “Munting Heredera” (Little Heiress) will have a Mexican adaptation after the television network in Mexico (Latin Media Corporation) purchased the copyrights of the said Filipino soap. This will be the first time a Kapuso drama will be adapted in a Latin-American region.
In a report on the network’s primetime newscast “24 Oras” on Friday, the original cast such as Camille Prats (played the role of Sandra Santiago-Monterea) and Gabby Eigenmann (played the antagonist Desmond Montereal) were happy and proud.
“Munting Heredera” is a Filipino family-oriented drama series created and developed by Director Maryo J. de los Reyes for GMA Network.
Playing the lead role of Doña Anastacia, a rich widow in search of her “Munting Heredera”, is Gloria Romero, making her television debut as officially a Kapuso.
Three young women, Jennifer (Mona Louise Rey), Michelle (Kyle Ocampo) and Calila (Barbara Miguel), born and raised in different ways and each with a distinct story of their own, claim to be the one she is looking for. In the end, fate will lead the true heiress to where she belongs and to claim what is rightfully hers.
