“Pepito Manaloto” is the new king of Saturday primetime, while ABS-CBN’s “PiliPinas Debates 2016” is the most watched TV program on Sunday.
According to the latest AGB Nielsen Mega Manila household survey covering April 21 – 24, most viewers tuned in to “Pepito Manaloto” on Saturday primetime dislodging the former number 1 program Lip Sync Battle Philippines. “Pepito Manaloto” registered an average rating of 23.3%, 0.7% higher than the other Michael V TV show “Lip Sync Battle Philippines” which formerly held the top spot. “Lip Sync Battle Philippines” registered 22.6% on that day to settle on the number 2 spot.
On Sunday, ABS-CBN’s version of the presidential debate “PiliPinas Debates 2016” scored the highest ratings making it the overall number one program on April 24, 2016. “PiliPinas Debates 2016” which was the 3rd and last of the 3-series presidential debates got an average ratings of 27.9%, the highest among the 3 debates which was shown on GMA Network (25.3%) and TV5 (11.2%). ABS-CBN’s post debate program “Halalan 2016 Ang Huling Harapan” also fared well getting to the number 2 spot with 20.1% ratings.
