It has been two months since Ciara Sotto separated from her husband Joe Oconer, but the issue has not completely died down. The involvement of a third party as the cause of the separation was clear from Ciara’s Instagram posts after she returned to her parents’ home.
As to who that third party is, Ciara did not really specify. However, she posted several messages on her social media accounts, which were obviously meant for her ex-husband’s mistress.
In the days following the separation, speculations pointed to Valeen Montenegro as the guilty third party. Valeen’s many projects for APT Entertainment including tv shows “Sunday PinaSaya”, “Princess in the Palace”, and a role in the film “My Bebe Love”, have fueled such assumptions for Ciara’s husband is the Senior Vice President and COO of APT.
Other rumored details also cropped up, again pointing to Valeen as the lover of Joe. This resulted in a lot of bashing directed against Valeen.
About a week after Ciara left her husband, Valeen’s camp issued a denial about the involvement of the actress in the Ciara-Joe separation. Valeen’s manager, Olive de Jesus, sent a text message to Jojo Sucaldito which says, “It’s not true that Valeen si Sir Jojo Oconer’s girl.”
Still, Olive’s message seems to have no effect as Valeen continued to receive bashing on social media.
Finally, Valeen broke her silence through an exclusive interview by PEP, written by Karen Pagsolinganaren on March 10 . Asked directly whether she had anything to do with the separation, Valeen flatly denied her involvement and answered with, “No, no,no.”
She also indicated that she doesn’t know where the rumor came from. She told PEP that nobody asked her directly about the issue and besides, her talent management advised her not to talk about it. “…It’s best not to say anything, let the issue die a natural death”.
Valeen said she also has not communicated with Joe nor Ciara.
On the same day that PEP’s exclusive interview with Valeen came out, Ciara posted on her Facebook account, “Wow kapal!!!!! Deny pa more!!!!” The post didn’t mention any name, but we leave it to you to judge for yourself who Ciara is addressing her message to.
Meanwhile, Valeen is still part of APT shows mentioned above, and is now starting a new teleserye with Regine Velasquez titled “Poor Senorita”.
