It has been an annual tradition for the two noontime shows to come up with a Lenten drama special. “Eat Bulaga!” started the trend years ago which also inspired “It’s Showtime” to follow.
For this year “Eat Bulaga!” won Mega Manila viewers again as they beat “It’s Showtime’s” Lenten drama from Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday.
“Eat Bulaga!’s” lenten special leads by almost double the ratings of “It’s Showtime” with their Holy Wednesday registering the highest lead of 13.9%. “Eat Bulaga’s” Holy Wednesday presentation is top billed by the AlDub tandem of Alden Richards and Yaya Dub Maine Mendoza with Jake Ejercito titled “God Gave Me You”.
Meanwhile, Holy Week primetime was also dominated by Kapuso shows. “Little Nanay” continues to lead the primetime drama battle making it hard for Coco Martin’s “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” to stage a comeback.
“That’s My Amboy” is also threatening to dethrone “Dolce Amore” of it’s time-slot supremacy as it won the ratings game on Tuesday March 22 and Wednesday March 23. “24 Oras” on the other hand remains the most watched primetime newscast.
Here are the top 10 Daytime and Primetime shows with their comparative ratings from March 21-March 23 based on the survey by AGB Nielsen on Mega Manila households.
