It was the first time Maine Mendoza to set her foot in the Island of Boracay and according to her, she has been preparing for it for two-weeks long. She even invited Alden Richards two weeks prior to her birthday knowing that the ‘Pambansang Bae’ has a hectic schedule at work.
On inviting Alden to join them on her birthday
Based on her personal blog, she kept on asking Alden every single day if he could come and spend time even just for a day because she did not want to be too excited and end up feeling disappointed.
During her birthday celebration at “Eat Bulaga” Alden told her, “Wherever you go, I’ll go.” In which gave her a clue that he will gladly join her in Boracay.
March 6, 2016: Alden surprised Maine
Surprisingly, there were several knocks on Maine’s door at Discovery Boracay Shores, upon opening the door, the celebrant was dancing and she was not able to utter any word when Alden suddenly appeared. You can notice that she’s definitely surprised and happy on this video.
Seizing the moment
Knowing the fact that Alden needs to fly back in Manila, the two on-screen partners tried each and every water activities they can enjoy like Banana Boat, Jet ski, Flying Fish that makes Maine indeed very happy for granting her request to be with Alden.
Sweetest words from Maine for Alden
“Not even a second, have I ever felt I was with the “PAMBANSANG BAE,” from the moment we hopped inside the boat until his goodbye hug, not even once did I catch a glimpse of the Alden Richards we normally see on TV.”
Prior to that, Maine expressed her gratitude for celebrating her birthday with Alden in a natural way. Nothing fancy, but definitely they had fun along with her friends.
“He was different; he was like a normal guy more like a kid who’s having fun, he was enjoying every moment and you could see it in his gleaming eyes. He needed to take a break from everything even just for a little while. “
Above all else, Maine mentioned on her blog that she was really happy because Alden was able to unwind and have real fun with her.
