(10) Kris Aquino’s first and last TV Series
It was in 2004 when Kris Aquino starred in her very first TV series “Hiram.” In the show, Aquino played Diana Benipayo. She stands as mother to Margaret (Heart Evangelista), who is the love-child of her friend Beatrice (Mickey Ferriols). She fell in love with Louie (Christian Vasquez) but her true love is Edward (John Estrada).
The series ran for almost a year (July 12, 2004 – May 20, 2005).
ABS-CBN has given another opportunity to Kris Aquino to play a lead role in three more teleseryes – “Sineserye Presents: Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara” in 2008, “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo” in 2010 and the 2013 primetime soap opera “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw” along with Robin Padilla, Anne Curtis, and Tirso Cruz III.
“Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw” was seemingly the perfect project and culmination of her career in Philippine showbiz. This is where she has finally utilized all her acting skills acquired from her horror, rom-com, and (international) comedy movies.
