(6) Failed Marriage with James Yap and Custody Battle for Bimby
After the controversial breakup of Kris Aquino and Joey Marquez, Kris Aquino has once again got herself involved with a new man, PBA superstar, James Yap. It was later revealed that the two tied the knot on a civil marriage ceremony back in July 10, 2005.
Later, Kris Aquino announced on June 27, 2010 that she and Yap are no longer together. Their marriage was officially annulled back February 2012. Once again, Kris Aquino took center stage when she filed a a Temporary Restraining Order against James Yap for alleged ‘overstepping his boundaries, attempting to seduce her in his visit on her home, and causing psychological harm on their son. On March 5, Kris Aquino announced that she is ending the custody battle with the estranged husband.
(7) Kris Aquino, The “Box Office Queen of Horror”
Besides the title ‘Massacre Queen,’ Kris Aquino was later dubbed as the “Box Office Queen of Horror” specially after the third box office success of her third horror film ‘Dalaw’ in 2010. The two earlier horror films mentioned that featured Kris Aquino was ‘Sukob’ (2006) opposite Claudine Barretto and ‘Feng Shui’ (2004).
After being dubbed as the Philippines’ Box Office Queen of Horror, Kris Aquino later made more horror titles to secure her belt with “Segunda Mano” (2011) and “Feng Shui 2” (2014).
