Kris Aquino has been a Kapamilya for almost 20 years now. She first re-entered ABS-CBN in October 28, 1996 after transferring from GMA Network. Kris has then became one of the most prized Kapamilya talents doing shows almost everyday from her “Today with Kris Aquino” (Monday – Friday) and “The Buzz” on Sunday. Kris was also featured in several Kapamilya teleseryes like, “Hiram” and “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw”.
According to Kris, one of the reasons behind her decision to leave ABS-CBN is to concentrate on her family and to take care of her health.

She also acknowledged all her sponsors and endorsements for sticking it out with her throughout the years.
While it seemed that Kris is really gearing towards retirement from ABS-CBN, one of her artworks left a puzzle.
In that post she said that it isn’t goodbye and that she’ll come back with 100% healthy heart so that she can love everyone even more and for a longer time.
If one will remember this is not the first time that Kris issued a statement about leaving showbiz and resigning from ABS-CBN.
In an interview with Ted Failon on TV Patrol in March 2013, Kris said she decided to leave showbiz for the sake of her children.
“I am sacrificing my career and work for a simple and quiet life with him (Bimby)”, she said.
Her decision came after Kris and estranged husband James Yap faced in a legal battle which according to her has affected their son Bimby. But the resignation and quitting from showbiz didn’t happen and ABS-CBN just gave her break from her shows.
Prior to this, Kris also said she’ll leave showbiz to spare her brother, then Senator Noynoy Aquino from criticisms once he wins the Presidency in 2010. But after Noynoy’s win, Kris continued to remain in the country leaving her bashers and detractors who wanted her out, in despair.
