Award-winning Kapamilya director Francis Pasion was found lifeless in the bathroom of his house in Barangay Laging Handa in Quezon City on Saturday afternoon, March 6. Operatives from PNP SOCO have been deployed to Pasion’s unit to investigate the incident.
Francis Pasion, 38, was known to helm some of today’s best teleseryes including the recently concluded “On The Wings of Love,” “Dyesebel,” “My Binondo Girl,” “Princess and I” and “Nathaniel,” and movies “Jay” and “Bwaya.”
A native of Manila, Pasion grew up watching such Asian films as “Raise the Red Lantern,” a 1991 film directed by Zhang Yimou of China, and “Rashomon,” a 1950 film directed by Akira Kurosawa, and aspired to be a filmmaker ever since high school. At university, he set up a filmmaking club and made his directorial debut in 2008.
