This doesn’t mean that there are no rules to follow. In the ‘How Voting Works For The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2016‘ it is clearly stated on this following clause:
Use of any device to automate a vote is prohibited, including, but not limited to, software-generated, robotic, programmed, script, macro or other automated votes. Nickelodeon International reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any vote it suspects or finds: (a) to have used a software-generated, robotic, programmed, script, macro or other automated vote; (b) to have tampered with the voting process; (c) to be acting in violation of these Voting Rules; or (d) to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
Basically the Nickelodeon International team maybe able to detect or gain knowledge whether there is a change petition or not. If this is truly done by MAine Mendoza fans they are actually doing a disservice to their idol as it will set alarms and not just for Maine Mendoza but for other nominees as well. Besides Maine Mendoza, fans can also get a chance to vote for Kathryn Bernardo, James Reid, and Enrique Gil. so let’s just hope that all the fans are as ‘clean’ and ‘honest’ as most claim to be; to not use automatic voting programs or scripts in favor for their idol or against their idol’s rival in the said category.
The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2016 is set to air on March 14, 2016.
UPDATE: JaDine and LizQuen fans have asked for the removal of their fandom names from petition to disqualify Maine Mendoza in Kids Choice Awards (KCA).
