Kapuso comedian Michael V. has renewed his contract on March 18 with GMA Network.
Bitoy, as everyone calls him, has been a Kapuso star for more than 2 decades (first starred on “Bubble Gang” in 1995, the show inspired by the ABC’s (Now TV5) gag show “Tropang Trumpo”). His latest project is the hit US franchise show “Lip Sync Battle Philippines” which started just three weeks ago with co-host Iya Villania. He has still two existing regular shows – “Bubble Gang” and sitcom “Pepito Manaloto.”
Bitoy said he is happy to be a Kapuso star.
On Instagram, he reiterated his responsibility as an actor. Bitoy also shared that what an actor can share to the PH showbiz industry is more important than asking what one can get from a network.
“As celebrities, may responsibility tayo sa industriya. The networks act as bridges that connect us there.
Huwag nating isipin kung ano ang makukuha natin sa network. Dapat isipin natin kung ano ang maiaambag natin sa industriya.
When we do our jobs right, we earn more than money, we earn respect.
We don’t just join the industry, we establish them. Our contracts are not with networks, it’s with our audience.”
