GMA Network still controls Saturday viewing of Mega Manila households.
In the latest AGB Nielsen survey from March 18-20, 2016, GMA Network shows again controls the top 10 of both Daytime and Primetime blocks.
Michael V and Iya Villania’s “Lip Sync Battle Philippines” remains the most watched Saturday program. The celebrity lip syncing program topped whole day ratings on Saturday with 29% followed by another Kapuso shows “Pepito Manaloto” with 25.6%, “Magpakailanman” with 25.0% and “Eat Bulaga!” with 23.3%.
If GMA Network reigns Saturday programming, Sunday is no different.
While many have thought TV5 can finally snatch a top spot courtesy of its hosting of “Pilipinas Debates 2016”, Kapuso shows remain the dominant force in Sunday programming from morning till night.
“Pilipinas Debates 2016” which previously was the most watched Sunday program when aired on GMA Network didn’t fair well on its TV5 airing. The 2nd presidential debate for the May 2016 Philippine election was beaten by Kapuso newcast “24 Oras Weekend” to settle in 10th spot with 11.2%.
Meanwhile, Sunday Pinasaya remains the leader in Sunday afternoon variety show beating the longest running ASAP by 12.7% at 21.8% and 9.10% respectively.
Here are the top 10 Daytime and Primetime shows with their comparative ratings from March 18-March 20 based on the survey by AGB Nielsen on Mega Manila households.
