Last Monday, Solenn Heussaff, a talent of GMA 7, guested in ABS-CBN’s talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda” to promote the Valentine movie of Regal Entertainment Inc. entitled “Love is blind” that opens in cinemas on February 10, 2016.
In an article in Abante Tonight yesterday, many people were shocked when they saw the singer/actress in the said talk show, but there were no issues in her guesting for this was approved by GMA Network management.
Furthermore, Regal Entertainment is the producer of the new movie and ABS-CBN holds its TV Rights so her promotion at the Kapamilya Network is valid. Solenn is one of the main characters, including Kiray Celis, Derek Ramsay, Kean Cipriano, and it is directed by Jason Paul Laxamana.
In “Tonight with Boy Abunda”, they talked a bit about her co-star and ex-boyfriend Derek Ramsay. Though they had a relationship, she still wanted the role of Maggie, the leading lady of Wade played by Derek. Solenn also revealed the gist of the movie.

The movie is about Fe (Kiray) who is obsessed with Wade (Derek). Yari (Kean), gives his best friend Fe a potion to make Wade fall in love with her. Every time, Wade looks at Fe, he sees a hotel intern and a look-alike of his ex-girlfriend, Maggie (Solenn). While Fe is happy to be loved by Wade who sees her as Maggie because of the potion, she doesn’t notice the love of her best friend Yari.
The intended message of “Love is blind” is one of the interesting parts of the movie. What Fe does to Wade is literally what makes love blind. The potion is powerful that Wade cannot see the real character of Fe who looks like Maggie. Both Wade and Fe are not true lovers.
Figuratively, what Fe doesn’t see in her surroundings is what makes love blind too. Given that she is longing for love, she doesn’t see the more-than-friend’s love of his best friend Yari, who sees her true image and personality. Watch the trailer of “Love is blind.”
Aside from the unique and funny storyline, the chemistry of Derek-Solenn and Kean-Kiray is one of the highlights of the movie for the Valentine season.
