February 26, 2016, Friday is a momentous event for ABS-CBN as its current popular primetime soap ‘On The Wings of Love’ (OTWOL) had its series finale.
The high-rating Kapamilya romantic soap that featured James Reid and Nadine Lustre (JaDine) has been consistently beating its GMA Network competition in the ratings game and this finale is no different, but what has GMA Network answer’s to this finale? The answer is The Master Showman’s Final Bow.
The current regular GMA Network Friday night schedule is ‘My Little Nanay,’ ‘Because Of You,’ and ‘Bubble Gang’. Bubble Gang was supposed to go head-to-head with the On the Wings of Love Season Finale but was replaced with a German ‘Kuya Germs’ Moreno special tribute show entitled “The Master Showman’s Final Bow” or simply ‘Final Bow’ which celebrates the life and career of the notable Philippine showbiz industry ‘star maker’.
Final Bow includes performances and testimonials from various Filipino celebrities of both past and present across various networks (GMA Network, TV5, to ABS-CBN) whose lives were touched by influential ‘Master Showman’.

The Master Showman’s Final Bow could simply be put on a weekend primetime schedule but GMA Network decided to preempt Bubble Gang with this special.
