Manny Pacquiao’s shocking views about same sex marriage was known four years ago. In May 2012 during an interview with examiner.com, Pacquiao objected to gay marriage, saying that “same sex marriage is against the law of God.”
He maintains that, “I am NOT against gay people.” Reactions were intense and swift and the boxer was even banned from entering Hollywood Mall with his anti-gay stance.
This time, Pacquiao crossed the line when he remarked on video last Monday posted on the TV5 election site that “Animals are better off because at least they can identify the males from females. Am I not right? Now, if it’s male to male and female to female, then humans are worse than animals.”
This remark has drawn the ire of top Filipino gay celebrities n the country. Foremost among them is local comedian Vice Ganda who wrote a series of tweets to show his rage.

Ganda did not end there. He also uploaded this photo:

Another reaction came from Aiza Seguerra who spoke on Instagram:

Aiza also wrote about her belief.
“Being right is a relative thing. What may be right for you may not be right for me. It would be better if people don’t shove their beliefs sa mukha ng ibang tao. In my opinion, being kind is more important than being right. Live and let live.”
Comedian John Lapus also had something to say.

Known gay activist and chair emeritus of the LGBT community Danton Remoto gave his two cents too:
#PrayForMannyPacquiao He should be congressmen not just of fundamentalists and has-been boxers. LGBTs unite vs Mannyhttps://t.co/GBckIMXiuI

https://t.co/GBckIMXiuI Pacquaio has the depth of a basin of water. He should read up on LGBT issues; he will be left in the Dark Ages.

Famous International blogger Perez Hilton also dipped into Pacquiao’s statements:
I’m sure many stars will still have something to say abut this in the days to come. It’s just sad that Pacquiao thinks everyone should share his beliefs. Not everyone interprets the Bible the same way he does. What will happen now to his senate candidacy with his reckless opinion? As of now #PrayforMannyPacquiao has been trending in Twitter.
