Kathryn wore the customized Val Taguba’s red mermaid couture on a photo shoot for Metro Magazine. Meanwhile, Liza Soberano wore the same kind of gown by Val on her 18th birthday celebration on ASAP.
Fans of Kathryn Bernardo and Liza Soberano have shown all out support for their idols. Some of them say that Kathryn wore it better because she projected herself so elegantly. Though Kathryn Bernardo’s body has a smaller frame, they say she still looks sexy wearing the classy gown.
But some people disagree with the positive comments about Kathryn Bernardo. They say that the photo of Kathryn Bernardo, which is being compared to that of Liza Soberano’s, has been photoshopped already. Because Kathryn’s photo was used in a magazine, she was totally glammed up and also had a great background.
On the other hand, some say that Liza’s photo was raw. She did not even make some effort to look gorgeous and yet she looked stunning. They say Liza has a naturally beautiful face which makes her rock anything she wears. Some netizens observed that, Liza was wearing very light makeup when the picture was taken, compared to Kathryn. This made them think that Liza Soberano’s beautiful face carried the gown for her.
Some people have also commented that aside from her lovely face, Liza also has more “curves” than Kathryn. Thus, the gown looked so much better on Liza than on Kathryn.
Other people, however, disagree that Liza won the battle in this round. They said that Liza needs to learn how to project and to pose like Kathryn Bernardo.
Some netizens pointed out that this battle should not be about the face of the two young actresses. Instead, it should be how Liza and Kathryn wore the gown.
