The phenomenal AlDub love team finally kissed on the lips after a long wait. For a long, long time the AlDub nation has been longing for that day when Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza will finally kiss each other on the lips on “Eat Bulaga’s” ‘KalyeSerye’.
Today, Feb. 25, Alden dared to kiss Maine on the lips on their 32nd Weeksary. It happened during a wedding-like scenario which took place at Broadway Centrum.
Alden and Maine insisted that it was a kiss near the lips only, not actually on the lips. But Vic, Ryan, Joey and Lola Nidora and Tinidora thought it was right on the lips.

They modeled as bride and groom for the modeling project of Yaya Dub. Alden wore a barong while Yaya Dub or Divina wore a white gown with a train.
Alden acted like he waited for his “bride” at the stage. Yaya Dub, carrying a bouquet of flowers, approached him from backstage. Looking very much like a real-life bride and groom, they faced the Lolas on split screen and the audience.
Then, Alden sang their theme song, “God Gave Me You” to Yaya Dub while he was holding her hand. Yaya Dub meanwhile was making wacky faces while he did so.
After the song, Alden kissed the back of the hand of Yaya Dub.
Afterwards, Lola Tinidora or Jose Manalo asked them the question that priests usually ask of a couple about to be wed. The question started with, “Tinatanggap mo ba siya na maging kabiyak at makasama, sa hirap at ginhawa…” (Do you accept him to be your partner, in sickness or in health…).
Of course, Lola Tinidora tweaked the question in the last part to make it funnier, but the essence is the same. The question to AlDub is about commitment. And the both answered, “Opo” (I do or Yes).
When they were asked to kiss, Alden posed to kiss Yaya Dub but then they were frozen as usual. But then, Alden surprisingly kissed Yaya Dub at the edge of her lips, which almost brought the house down.
So that’s how it happened. The AlDub nation is rejoicing, saying that the kiss is in time with the celebration of EDSA. The kiss calls for a double celebration for AlDub fans all over the world.
