For the upcoming New York Festival’s World’s Best TV & Films Competition, a total of 14 nominees from the Philippines’ programs are included from different networks: GMA Network, ABS-CBN and TV5.
There are over 200 producers, directors and other creative media professionals worldwide that comprised the grand jury of the New York Festivals, luckily for this year Philippines have gained more than 5 entries.
To be exact GMA Network have earned nine (9), ABS-CBN three (3), TV 5 and CCTV earned one (1) nominations each.

“Ilustrado” for Mini-Series Category & “Ilustrado” Open for Entertainment Program Open & Titles Category
The network’s first bayani-serye about Jose Rizal’s early life as teenager and his tragic first love.
The Jose Rizal character was portrayed by Alden Richards while Kylie Padilla for the Leonor Rivera and Solenn Heussaff as Nellie Boustead. This TV series aired for one year and one month with a total number of 20 episodes.
