Willie Revillame turned 55 on January 28, 2016.
He prepared a simple dinner in his home in Ayala Heights to celebrate his birthday. According to Gorgy Rula of Abante Tonite, published on January 29, 2016, it was an unplanned party as the staff only announced the said dinner the morning of that day.
A lot of those who were invited and came are Willie’s Kapuso friends and a few close showbiz friends from other networks like John Estrada, Randy Santiago, Al Tantay and Direk Bobot Mortiz.
“I really don’t want to have a party, but we were so happy in our taping yesterday, and the staff insisted that I celebrate that’s why I decided to have this simple gathering,” Willie said.
The celebrant is so excited, now that “Wowowin” will start airing on Monday, February 1, 2016. It was mentioned also that Revillame signed the contract yesterday, January 29, 2016, with GMA Network as co-producer of the show.
According to the article, Willie said that he has not earned anything since the show “Wowowin” started, but he is very hopeful and positive that with the help of GMA Network, the show will be a success, the show will now air from Monday to Friday, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., before the news program “24-Oras.”
This early, a lot of sponsors have come in already, that’s why he’s so thankful with GMA Network because he can see that they are really taking good care of his new daily show. Willie said that he can see and feel that GMA Network is so good and supportive of him, and it feels like he is “Home”, this causes him to be so inspired to do the every day taping of the show.
We wish Willie more success and may he continue to be inspired because a lot of his fans are waiting for his return and the joy that his new show will give to everyone.
