Willie Revillame has recently inked a co-production contract with GMA Network, for his top-rated program, “Wowowin”. The deal stipulates that Willie’s show will become a daily show, and will be aired before GMA Network’s own news show, “24 Oras”, starting February 1, Monday.
The “Wowowin” host has been saying that all he wants is to give hope and happiness to the millions of Filipinos in the Philippines and worldwide. In an interview with ‘Showbiz’ in “SAKSI”, Willie added, “At the same time, iniisip din namin yung maging kami, tayo dito sa Kapuso Channel ang maging gamot ng kalungkutan ng ating mga kababayan, especially sa Pinoy TV abroad” (At the same time, we think we at Kapuso Channel should be the cure to the loneliness of our countrymen, especially with Pinoy TV abroad.)
It seems Willie feels he is truly at home with GMA Network, where Wowowin has aired since 2015.
In fact, on Willie’s birthday, it was reported by Abante Online that he stated how comfortable he really is with GMA Network. Not only because he started his career there, but also because GMA Network provides an ideal working environment. At GMA, Willie says “Dahil hindi uso rito ang siraan at intriga”, there’s good work ethics since people don’t talk behind their backs and there are no intrigues. There’s no agenda to destroy each other, according to Willie. It’s no wonder then, that since Willie transferred to GMA Network, he has been thanking and praising them for what they have done for him.
Willie said that he had been wishing that his successful show, “Wowowin”, would become a daily show. A lot of “Wowowin” fans, too, have been requesting all along that their favorite game show would give blessings and entertainment every day like “Eat Bulaga”.
Willie and his fans are grateful to GMA Network for finally making “Wowowin” a daily show and giving it an amazing timeslot.
Although the show will be taped as live, Abante hints of the possibility that “Wowowin” might become a live show in April 2016.
