MMFF 2015 hit entry “My Bebe Love: #KiligPa More” held a thanksgiving celebration on January 14 at Annabel’s Restaurant, Tomas Morato for the cast and crew of the movie.
“My Bebe Love: #KiligPa More” has a lot of reasons to celebrate. Maine Mendoza won the Best Festival Supporting Actress during the MMFF 2015 Awards night, while “My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore”’ bagged two major awards. It was chosen as the Festival’s ‘3rd Best Picture’ and took home the Gatpuno Antonio Villegas Cultural Award.
For Vic Sotto, these awards are already enough for them to celebrate. “It’s more than kung ano mang box-office return. Para sa akin, yun ang mas mahalaga. Kami, we’re very thankful for that.”
Aside from these awards, the movie recorded a whopping gross earnings of ₱60,462,169.57 on its opening day and already reached more than ₱300,000,000 gross as of January 2. There’s no latest release yet regarding the movie’s total earnings.
It was a late celebration for the movie for they waited the availability of their major stars including Ai-Ai delas Alas (vacation in the US), Alden Richards (Middle East projects) and Maine Mendoza (holiday with family in Japan). Unfortunately, Maine and Alden failed to attend the party according to the PEP article.
According to Lolit Solis on her article published at philstar.com, they did not invite any media on the celebration. “Walang imbitado na print media sa thanksgiving party dahil exclusive ito sa cast at production staff.”
