On January 4, 2015, Ai-Ai delas Alas, claimed that “My Bebe Love” lead the MMFF 2015 box office during a press conference in Los Angeles for the screening of the movie in California and Texas. “In our hearts, sa puso ng AlDub Nation, sa puso ng sambayanang Pilipino, No. 1 kami, kasi lahat ng ginagawa namin walang daya,” Ai-Ai said.
“Kahit ano pa ang sabihin nila, ilalaban ko nang patayan, itataga ko sa bato, kami po ang No. 1,” she added.
Ai-Ai also refuted the claims of Star Cinema, saying its MMFF entry “Beauty and the Bestie” reached the top spot. “Ayaw ni Lord ang nangdadaya. Karma is a bitch,” she said.
Ai-Ai’s statements received mixed reactions from netizens.
Her words immediately trended on Twitter with various comments from netizens. Most of them aired their disgust towards the Comedy Concert Queen.
