Who would think that the Master Showman was once a street vendor of “bibingka”, cigarettes and peanuts. He also became a “jeepney barker” before he was hired as a janitor at Clover Theater which led the way to his being discovered as a great talent.
9. Kuya Germs’ legacy in Philippine Television is enormous.
German Moreno’s emerged as one of the best showbiz talk show hosts with the programs “Daigdig ng mga Artista sa Television” and “Superstar” with Nora Aunor as his co-host. Since then, Kuya Germs hosted different shows of the GMA Network such as: Germside (1978-1979), Germspesyal (1979- 1984), Super in GMA (1984), That’s Entertainment (1986-1996), GMA Supershow (1984- 1996), Negosiyete : Mag-aral Sa GMA (1991- 1997:) and Walang Tulugan With The Master Showman (1997- present).
He also produced some popular drama series such as Kung Mayroon Mang Pangarap (1993), Ganti (1994), Sa Paglinaw Ng Tubig (1995), Ikaw, Ako at Ang Awit (1996), Dalawang Ina, Dalawang Pag-ibig (1997), Larawan ng Isang Ina (1998), and Ina (1999).
