Eugene “Uge” Domingo fans have a reason to celebrate this 2016.
According to Philstar, the comedienne will have her most-awaited “Dear Uge” show starting Feb. 14. It will take over the time slot vacated by Willie Revillame’s “Wowowin”, which airs right after the weekly “Sunday PinaSaya”.
The “Dear Uge” show has been a dream project of Uge. It’s a program that will showcase the acting and hosting skills of Uge, who’s considered to be one of the country’s most versatile actresses.
Everyone in the industry knows Uge is a very savvy and entertaining host, just look at how she handles “Celebrity Bluff”. The gameshow has been running for three years now and is still going strong. Uge was even recognized as “Best Game Show Host” several times for the said show.
As an actress Uge is also one of the most awarded, both in lead and supporting roles in films of different genres. She has reaped awards from local and international award-giving bodies, especially for her roles in indie films.
With “Dear Uge”, viewers will get to experience the very best of Uge. The title alone gives out the clue as to what kind of show it will be.
“Dear Uge” is a comedy-drama anthology, wherein viewers will be encouraged to send in their real-life stories. The best of the lot will be chosen for dramatization, with Uge as the main character, of course. But with Uge in the lead, don’t expect the show to be heavy drama. The natural comedienne that she is, Uge will render a lighter, heartwarming take on the true-to-life stories from the viewers.
